Who are we?
We are a small, friendly group of parents and staff who raise money for the schools. All the parents on the PTA have children at the Cliff Park Infant and Junior Schools. There is always room for more members, so we can achieve more for the benefit of all the pupils.
What do we do?
We work together to plan and run various events through the academic year. This involves small meetings, held at least monthly, to organise these events. Attendance at some, or all, of these meeting would give you a voice in shaping our plans. However, if you just want to help out at some of the events through the year, then that would also be great.
What events do we run?
We have events spaced through the year, culminating in the Summer Fayre.
From a disco each term, to Mother's Day stall and the popular ice cream shop after school in the summer. There is always another event to plan, or proceeds to spend on equipment for the schools.
How can you help?
Would you like to help improve the school experience for all the children at Cliff Park Infant and Junior Schools? Do you want to have your say in how we spend money? Or what events we organise? If so, then please join us at our next meeting. For the next meeting date, please email Rachael (details below) or keep an eye out on the blackboard outside the Infant School.
If you want to be part of the PTA, but are unable to attend any meetings, you can still help out at events. Please email Rachael your contact details and what you are prepared to do to help.
Rachael, our Chair, can be reached at: firstname.lastname@example.org

We are very lucky to have an enthusiastic and committed group of parents who actively support the school in many ways.
As a parent of a child in school, you are automatically a member of the Friends and you are warmly invited to attend any of the meetings and events which happen throughout the year.
The Friends organise social as well as fundraising events which children and families can enjoy, such as:
Fireworks Night, Discos each term, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Secret Room, The Midsummer Fair, to name but a few!
Darren Barber, our Cook Manager, has baked specially themed cookies for Valentine’s Day and Easter, as well as for Comic Relief and Children in Need, charities which the children love to support.
The Friends run the Healthy Snack Shack at playtimes and during the summer months, sell ice lollies at the end of a long, hot school day!
The Friends have also supported school events such as the Bike It Campaign, providing a Bike It Breakfast, on the day that we recorded 170 cycles in the bike sheds, a new school record!
Last year the Friends made a huge contribution to the school:
- £4,000 - New library books
- £2,500 - White boards for classrooms
- £1,000 - Musical instruments
- £1,000 - Sportswear
- £ 600 - Sound Discovery programme
- £ 200 - Pantomime - Robin Hood
Business sponsorship for PE Equipment
Some Friends come into school to support children’s learning, listening to reading and supporting events such as the author Jeremy Strong’s visit to school. They have also accompanied the children on residential visits to How Hill and PGL.
If you wish to support in this way, you will need to complete a full Criminal Record Bureau Check (CRB), which the school will be happy to complete with you.
If you would like to contact the Friends, please ask for Rachael Moore or Phil Nichols via the school office.
